List of ingredients:
100 grams of caster sugar.
100 grams of self-raising flour.
3 medium eggs.
Method:
Preheat your oven to 190C.
Grease a 23cm round cake tin.
In a bowl, whip together the eggs and sugar until fluffy.
Fold in the self-raising flour.
Pour into the greased cake tin.
Bake for about 20 minutes or until the top of the sponge cake springs back when gently pressed.
Allow to cool in the cake tin over a wire rack.

List of ingredients:
4 cups of all-purpose flour.
1 cup of granulated sugar.
1 cup of mashed bananas.
1/2 cup of buttermilk.
1/4 cup of shortening.
2 medium eggs.
4 teaspoons of baking powder.
1 ½ teaspoons of vanilla extract.
1 teaspoon of baking soda.
1 teaspoon of nutmeg.
½ teaspoon of salt.
Instructions:
Cream shortening and sugar together.
Add eggs to the mixture and beat well.
Mix the bananas, vanilla extract and buttermilk.
Add this to the creamed mixture along with other dry ingredients.
Roll mixture out onto a lightly floured surface.
Cut and leave to stand for 15 minutes.
Deep fry until golden brown.
